Bio

Behind the ghost costumes and dog symbolism is an artist determined to add a real touch of vulnerability to the music industry. Born in Colorado, Conner Pettit started writing folk-inspired pop to cope with life’s harsher realities, finding glimmers of light in what felt like an endlessly dark period. “I find there’s always an interesting duality present in life and, sometimes, what we lose is what we begin to gain.”

Although he always loved singing, Conner started songwriting at nineteen, finding that music gave weight to feelings that words alone couldn’t fully describe. “After losing my childhood dogs, I realized there was a lot to grieve, a lot to make sense of. I try to balance 'the depressing’ and 'the hopeful’ in each song, since both so presently exist sometimes, and explore complicated wounds that feel less mainstream in today’s music.”

Inspired by landscapes and how they draw out new emotions, Conner is excited to start his next chapter in the forest. His upcoming album “Lost In the Woods” will explore feelings of loneliness, escapism, disappearance, and fearing the things we can’t see.
